Women & Planning

In our “politically-correct” world, some would advise us against offering services to “suddenly-single” women. They would argue that women’s financial needs are no different than men’s. And they would be right. However, after years of helping women cope with death, divorce or incapacitation of a spouse, we know that, for many, there is a need for support and guidance at a very sad and bewildering life transition.

Some women have been integrally involved in the family’s financial planning all along – meeting with advisors, reviewing investment plans, understanding the structure of trusts and other estate planning tools. Others have been “spared” this responsibility by their husbands. But in either case, following the loss of a husband, there are a myriad of decisions to make, financial and legal documents to locate or file, and actions to put into play. What isn’t always helpful is advice from well-meaning family members and friends. What is helpful is guidance from a caring financial professional who knows how to make things happen.

At The Kaleel Company we have a process for helping women put the financial pieces together following the loss of a spouse. This process involves close collaboration, support, and as much access to our team as is needed. As the financial pieces get re-assembled, our clients’ confidence in the future grows and they can begin to live the next chapters in their lives. In addition to close personal attention, we offer a number of client events exclusively for women designed to be educational and fun.

Women represent half the world’s population and gave birth to the other half! At The Kaleel Company, we are proud to serve the needs of an ever-growing group of female clients and their families.
